Emerging from the riverside parks near Albany area, the reformed BARBWIRED (formerly The Out 2 Lunch band) broke into the Classic rock scene in 2008 with a new member in the local area clubs.
The band is currently working on perfecting their sound which blends the bands's sun-burnt classic rock covers and originals with roadhouse boogie-woogie.
Uniting Barb Verdile's stand alone vocal work with road-
seasoned rhythms , percussion and effervescent lead guitar work to fashion a night full of sugar-coated ditties .
"Our mission" is to create and re-create classic rock and roll songs that
churns out the band's most unique collection of songs to date.
We try to play tracks that are usually not heard by club bands like Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" Heart's " Magic Man" Foghat's "I Just Wanna Make Love to You", Led Zeps The Ocean,, as well as other re -kindled and modernized ditties.
It is our feeling that if we give people more than just the samo-ole same-ole than we have a chance to stand above most bands that are struggling in our craft.
The audiance also benefits by getting a chance to listen to the stand out tracks of some very special musical groups that have been an important influence in our life and hopefully theirs as well.
